The excursion starts at 09:00 from Bodø Tourist Information, with transport to Evenesdal in Saltdal. There, you'll meet experienced guides who will introduce you to dog sledding and get you ready for the adventure.
Before departure, you’ll meet the dogs and receive essential safety instructions. You’ll share a sled with another participant, taking turns being the musher and the passenger during the ride.
The dog sledding experience lasts for 1.5–2 hours, covering a distance of approximately 6–8 km. After the ride, you can warm up around the fire with a cup of coffee before returning to Bodø, where you'll arrive back around 15:30.
