You’ll travel comfortably by bus through beautiful surroundings. Along the way, you’ll hear about Bodø and the region’s connection to Sámi culture and history.
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed into a traditional lavvu, where a local Sámi family greets you. They share their stories and offer insight into life as Sámi in the North. You’ll also meet their reindeer and learn about the Sámi way of life in harmony with nature.
Around the fire, you’ll be served chaga – a traditional hot drink made from birch fungus – while listening to joik, the ancient and deeply emotional Sámi form of song. After the visit, the bus returns to the center of Bodø.
